Spring 2013

The GHC softball team seeks to repeat their efforts from last season.  A season ago, the Chokers earned a trip to the NWAACC championships in Portland, OR.  This season looks promising as key contributors return and impressive freshman are added to the lineup this spring.

Returning impact players include star pitcher Jill Johnson, lead-off hitter Erica Rydman, and starting left fielder Angela Garcia.  The freshman class is undoubtedly known for their bats.  With the new power in the lineup, the Chokers set their goals on breaking various team hitting records including HR’s and slugging percentage.

Back at the helm are Tom Sutera and Steve Hyde.  These long time coaches bring years of experience to the team.  Both coaches have set high expectations and expect to see a return visit to the NWAACC Championships in late spring.
