GHC BEATS GREEN RIVER 10-2, GAME 2 RESCHEDULED FOR LATER DATE
Another rain out cancellation spoils game 2 of the Green River and GHC double header Tuesday at Ken Waite Field. That game will be made up at the conclusion of the league schedule. The specific date has not been confirmed yet.
The Chokers won the first contest 10-2 behind a great pitching performance by Ryan Snyder and timely hitting. Snyder threw a complete game allowing only 3 hits in the contest. Snyder also struck out 9 Green River batters.
Due to walks, GHC batters found themselves in an opportunity to deliver RBIs. Kyle Weiler delivered the moment that really started the scoring onslaught. Kyle cashed in on a bases loaded situation with a double, driving in all 3 base runners. Kyle ended the day 3 for 5 with those 3 RBIS. Jordan Churchill was also 3 for 5 with 2 RBIs of his own. Tyler Hiles, Dylan Deckert, and Corbin Sims each contributed 2 hits, with Sims’ hits resulting in 2 more RBIs.
The 10-2 win was good momentum for GHC Baseball and player confidence moving toward the second half of league play. Keep posted for date, location, and time of the make-up of Game 4 with Green River.
