Coach Jordan Altman comes to GHC from NWAACC member Lane CC in Eugene OR, where he was an assistant coach during the 2011-12 season. At Lane, Altman coordinated all daily practices, as well as implementing all of the Titan’s offensive philosophies.
Prior to Lane, Altman spent one season (2010-11) on staff with the University of Oregon Men’s basketball team. Working as the video coordinator for the Ducks, Altman was in charge of scouting material and worked closely with other assistants in all aspects of opponent scouting. The Ducks went 21-19 during Altman’s lone year with the program and captured the College Basketball Invitational (CBI) tournament championship.
Before coming to the Northwest, Coach Altman spent several seasons as a graduate assistant coach in the Midwest. Spending the 2009-10 season with Indiana State University men’s program, Altman handled most of the Sycamores’ daily operations and team travel.
In 2008, Altman spent one season away from the game, working in private business in Omaha NE. Prior to that, he had served as a graduate assistant at Wayne State College, in Wayne NE. While working with the Wildcats, Altman duties focused on recruiting, player development and game preparation.
Coach Altman is a native of Omaha, Nebraska. He is a 2007 graduate of Creighton University (Omaha), with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communications. While attending school, Altman coached dozens of junior high club teams in the Omaha metro and assisted in a variety of tasks for the Creighton men’s program. He is the son of Dana and Reva Altman and the oldest of their four children.
